Story of solo traveler- Ravi Santhalia

The Jain temple at Ranakpur is the best place for a traveller to visit as it is capable to make you feel in another world. This temple was built in the 15th century having 1400 pillars which were hand-carved with different icons having different and unique patterns. After visiting this place Ravi Santhalia felt so heavenly. Please Temple took almost 55 years to complete with the hard work and craftsmanship of craftsmen.

After visiting that place the first thingdone by Ravi Santhalia was to click various pictures as he wants to keep that memory with him throughout his life. It is having an amazing view as you will be able to feel the beauty of the lush Jungle through the windows of the temple. You will also be able to experience glimpses of the family of monkeys that roams here and there in and outside the temple.

One thing you also kept in mind is that guides are not allowed in the temple so you must have sufficient knowledge regarding the place so that you will be able to experience the best there. It is also very important that you should have some knowledge regarding the Jain religion if you are not familiar with it and you should be aware of their traditions and belief that help you to make the experience of Ranakpur Temple more amazing.

Tips for visiting Ranakpur Temple

•    You are not allowed to take any leather goods with you so you have to leave your shoes and other leather items outside before entering the temple.
•    To safeguard yourself from the attack of monkeys and sunlight cover your legs and arms.
•    To get an audio guide you are not required to deposit any photo ID.
•    If the woman is menstruating then she is not allowed to enter the temple.
•    The most important thing is to stay away from the monkeys. Although they look patient and cute but if if you provoke them they also become aggressive.

According to Ravi Santhalia, this place is the perfect treat for a travel lover. This is the perfect place to go by road as it is situated between Udaipur and Jodhpur that give this trip an amazing site to experience. But one thing you should keep in mind is that the road is quite risky as it has bumps and is windy to the countryside.

If you are a road trip lover then you must not miss this place. It is one of the amazing places that anyone can experience throughout his life and must visit to feel delighted from inside. If you want to visit the most beautiful temples in our country then in my view it is one of the best destinations to go to. This site is one of the best travel destinations in Rajasthan state and one who is planning for Rajasthan trip then they must involve Ranakpur Jain temple in their go-to list.

A TRIP TO MANALI | RAVI SANTHALIA

Ravi Santhalia and his friends were planning to take a break from their normal college days to distress themselves and hence they decided to take an adventurous trip over Manali. After considering the weather and the season they thought of going to the much colder destination and hence they chose Manali because they planned a trip for April. When we hear the name Manali it evokes a visual of snow-covered mountains, stately Deodar trees, apple orchards and tumbling Beas. They considered themselves lucky that they have opted for Manali, a calm and quiet place in the western Himalayas as their holiday's destination. Away from the stress and noise of cities, it is a dreams world where nature offers a variety of pleasures to all types of tourists having varying tests. It is a nature lover's paradise.

How we travel to Manali from Raipur
There is no direct transport mode connectivity between Raipur and Manali so Ravi Santhalia and his friends have decided to reach Delhi via train so they have taken the train from Bilaspur Junction and reach Delhi by the next day. Then they had taken a cab from Delhi as they want to enjoy the Long drive and also it is nice with a smooth highway and scenic views. It takes about 16 to 18 hours with a stop to reach their destination.

Places to visit at Manali
Jogini waterfall:
Jogini waterfall is one of the most visited places in the past years. It is an incredible waterfall where you got stunned while looking at that stunning waterfall and awesome view from the waterfall. A large number of local and foreign tourists visit that place. It is also worth a place to visit for nature lovers and photographers. The Jogani water Falls are the Sacred bathing place for Joginis who are believed to be the unwed daughters of Lord Indra. It is near Vashisht village every day a large number of domestic and foreign tourists visit it in the village are from the valley visit and perform their rights at the temple and till date followed the custom of serving food in plates made of stone.

Nehru Kund:
It is one of the most popular tourist spots surrounded by lush and abundant greenery. The kund is the perfect spot to spend your afternoon in Manali and you lost yourself with the magic of nature. It is also believed that whenever Mr Nehru was in this beautiful hill station he drank the clear crystal water of the natural spring that's why this has been named Nehru Kund. Ravi Santhalia likes this place very much.

Rohtang pass:

The pass is located at a massive height on Manali- Keylong road. According to Ravi Santhalia when you are planning a trip to Manali Rohtang Pass is the ultimate and almost essential attraction of the itinerary. Due to its splendid natural beauty, Rohtang Pass is a favourite among the community of film directors. Many blockbusters ranging from 'Jab We Met' to 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' have been shot here. A peculiar fact behind the name of the place is that it was named so because several people working in CBRE died whilst trying to cross this treacherous stretch.

An experience of the snow can never be complete without a sledge ride, which involves sliding through the snow in a wooden toboggan. Another thrilling activity that can be pursued at Rohtang Pass would be mountain biking where you ride your mountain bikes off the regular course and into the lesser taken routes. It can get a bit rough, so you must take care in case you are planning on pursuing this activity.

Munnar – Try Varied Tea Flavors-

This little haven is a marvelous place to visit while in Kerala. Load up some locally cultivated tea in Munnar, 3 hours from Kochi. Visit the Kannan Devan Plantation Museum to witness tea-processing and taste different teas, one of the must do things in Kerala.

Alleppey – Stay In A Houseboat-

Alleppey tops in the list of places to visit in Kerala. And when you’re there, don’t miss out on the experience of sailing in a houseboat that happens to be one of the best activities to do in Kerala.

Ravi Santhalia | Trip To Gujarat

I am Ravi Santhalia and i love to travel in india because I have learned to appreciate the simple things in life. The beauty of India lies in the spontaneous, un-manicured experiences you get while travelling.

The western Indian state of Gujarat is one of the subcontinent’s best-kept secrets. Bordered by Rajasthan to its northeast and Maharashtra and the metropolis of Mumbai to the south, Gujarat is often overlooked as a tourist destination, even by the keenest of Indophiles.

The Best Places To Visit In Gujarat

1 The Rann of Kutch

The most celebrated place to visit in Gujarat, the Rann of Kutch is located between the Great Thar Desert and the Arabian Sea. Composed of salt and sand, the desert has a luminescent quality that most other deserts don’t – check it out on full moon nights, when the sand seems to sparkle like a diamond. Visiting the desert on full moon nights has become a popular thing to do in Gujarat, since cultural programmes are held during the tourist season. Siberian flamingos visit here during winter.

2 Saputara

Saputara is the only hill station in Gujarat, and it a good retreat for the hot summer that the State faces. It has a huge lake around it, and the monsoon season sees a heavy mist rising out of the lake and enveloping the region like in a dream.

3 Lothal Archaeological Site

Gujarat has some of the most astounding archaeological sites in the world, dating back to the Indus Valley Civilisation. If you are interested in history,

4 Dwarka

Credited with being the residence of Lord Krishna, Dwarka is today one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites and a holy ground for Hindus. In the olden days.

5 Junagarh

Junagarh is a historically important city abounding in many monuments that you will love to explore. It is close to the Gir National Park, and is one of the most important places to visit in Gujarat.

Ravi Santhalia | Trip to Leh Ladakh

I am Ravi Santhalia and i love to travel in india because I have learned to appreciate the simple things in life. The beauty of India lies in the spontaneous, un-manicured experiences you get while travelling.

In our Leh Ladakh trip, we visit Nubra Valley via Khardung La which is the world's second highest motorable pass. ... Along with our Ladakh holiday packages, we visit Magnetic Hill, Patthar Sahib Gurudwara and Sangam of river Indus and Zanskar followed by a visit to Moon land and Lamayuru Monastery.

Nubra Valley lies about 150 km north of Leh where the rivers, Shyok and Siachan, meet form a large valley. This valley separates the Ladakh from the Karakoram Ranges and the famous Siachen Glacier lies to the north of the valley.

The best time to visit to Nubra Valley in the months of July to September. The major attraction of a trip to Nubra Valley is going over the so called or hyped, highest motorable road, Khardung La Pass Being at lower altitude than Leh at an average altitude of 10000 Feet or 3048 Mtrs.

Other than that we can visit some extremely beautiful places:

Markha Valley:

If camping is your thing then you won't find a better spot than at the Markha valley in Ladakh! You can trek up to some amazing sites such as Markha, Skiu and Hankar for starters.

Tso Moriri lake:

Tso Moriri lake is being 15000 ft above sea level in a rather rough environment is this tiny paradise. The place is often not considered ideal by many tourists due to the high altitude at which it stands proudly.

Shanti Stupa:

Shanti stupa is Situated on a hill-top in Chanspa is this beautiful dome shaped Chorten. The walls inside the Chorten have panels depicting the life of Lord Buddha. Plus, the vibe of the place would make you want to stay for long.

Ravi Santhalia Dalhousie & Khajjiar Tour

My name is Ravi Santhalia and I began travelling almost ten years ago. I started writing blogs simply to share my travel experiences with the hope to inspire people to start travelling too. As a traveler I love travel in India because…I have learned to appreciate the simple things in life and it is a land of a billion smiles. Only in India.

We started our Journey in the afternoon so we plan for night stay at Chandigarh. we reached Chandigarh at 7.00 P.M in the evening so we were having enough time to visit the famous Mansa devi temple. its an awesome place with such a peace. On the next day we started early in the morning for our journey towards Dalhousie. it took almost 7hr to reach to Dalhousie from Chandigarh. The road is pretty good if you follow the Hoshiarpur-Pathankot-Dalhousie route.

We reached Dalhousie at 3.00 PM & straight went to our guest house to have some rest. The location of the guest house was awesome & it was surrounded by thick trees & was on the tip of the mountain. The weather was soothing with cool healthy air which you will never experience in Surat.

Our guest house was near to Subash Chowk & we decided to visit the St. Francis Church at Subhash Chowk that evening. One will love the architectural beauty of the church. It’s a very old church built by the English men early 19th century.
Then we decided to walk till Gandhi chowk which was around 2 Km. we loved each & every moment of the walk which was full of ecstatic natural beauty. I have never seen such a beautiful mountain views in my life before.

We wake up at around 6.00 in the morning & decide to just have a good stroll in the  morning to adore the natural beauty. We walked around 1 Km on the 8 when we saw one young child coming from the village which was far away in the deep in the mountain. We were very impressed with the young child & decided to track that dangerous route till his village.  There was no pathway for the complete track so it was full of danger & excitement.

We planned to visit Khajjiar. Then we started our journey towards Khajjiar. It is the most exotic and scenic beauty place around 22 Km from Dalhousie. Khajjiar is officially proclaimed the mini-Switzerland of India. At an altitude of 6450 ft, this saucer shaped green meadow, ringed by Devadar Trees has a lake in the middle complete with floating island. I liked horseback riding and strolling. It’s the best place to spend more time as compare to the other places. We spent around 2 hrs & enjoyed Horse riding there.

At around 5 p.M we started our journey back to Chandigarh.  We took another route which goes directly to pathankot & is shorter in distance. The road was Ok but it was too narrow so only a experience driver should follow that path. The traffic at this road is very less & the scenic beauty is ultimate along the whole route which compensate for the narrow road.

At midnight we reached at Chandigarh & have a great sleep. Next day we left for New Delhi & have a great drive till Delhi.
It was one of the most memorable trip I have ever been too.

Ravi Santhalia | Goa Trip

My name is Ravi Santhalia and I began travelling almost ten years ago. I started writing blogs simply to share my travel experiences with the hope to inspire people to start travelling too. As a traveler I love travel in India because…I have learned to appreciate the simple things in life and it is a land of a billion smiles. Only in India.

Some trips we go to see the places, some trips we go to feel the adventure, some trips we go to relax etc etc... So every trip have some expectations, some plan, some goals in mind...But this was really a great experience for us where we went trip without any plan...Yes, seriously no plan as such...We have seen GOA just 8 months back, and we have seen almost all places and even same hotel we are staying...So nothing planned as such...And that too with the special person we are going with, planning never works.
Mode of travel: Train between Bangalore to Vasco

We purposeful choose train for 2 reasons...First to enjoy the journey with lots of talks and plays. Second to see Doodh Sagar waterfalls.
Stay: Godwin Hotel at calangute beach
What to wear: Yes for Goa your dress code is very much important... Choose knee level or at least three fourth so that you can walk in beaches comfortably. I think shopping for dresses in Goa itself is best than in Surat, cost wise and also you get more varieties. Carry a good sun screen lotion (If not you skin tone will change badly). Again mainly buy a nice hat as soon as you reach there to avoid tanning on your face.
we crossed the CASTLE ROCK station. From this station onwards we get lot of tunnels, nice greenery all the way. And also we are just ~30 min away from Doodh Sagar falls. Few Sicked to windows and few at stairs enjoying the scenic view and also eagerly waiting for Falls. Next station was dhoodh sagar and just in 5 min, Finally Dhoodh sagar water falls came... Little disappointed as water was less and it was very magnificent considering the height of falls...Train goes pretty fast and we already ready with our cams and able to capture it.
After falls, had small nap and we finally came to GOA Vasco station.
The plan was to take the bikes from this point and use for rest of the journey. But our bad luck, all bikes got over. Then we wanted to try the bus from Vasco to panji and from there bikes... Found the bus stop...But again it was too long queue and very less buses at that time...Again bad luck...It was very hot and we finally decided to take a TT directly to our hotel. Finally got TT for Rs.1600 where all can sit. The hotel is around 45KM distance. Anyway, We finally reached the hotel.
